Rumours concerning the CoB

We are aware of various rumours concerning the ownership and financial stability of the CoB. We do not know where they have come from or more importantly why they have started. What we do know is that the rumours are malicious, untrue and entirely unfounded. Left unanswered however, they do have the potential to damage our business so we felt it necessary to put out this statement. We give you categoric assurance that there is no basis or truth to these rumours: the business has not been sold; the business is not about to be sold; the business has not gone bankrupt and there is no prospect that it will. At least as far into the future as anyone can reasonably predict. The business had an excellent first year and continues to trade well. We have won many awards in our first year and are being nominated for more. We have just been listed in the Michelin Guide 2008. Our last seven monthly 'Mystery Guest' scores (as assessed by independent company Servescan Ltd) have been 89% or higher, with two scores at 98%. We also have substantial funding in bank deposits to build an extension (the planning consent for which is also in place) which we still intend to do when we judge the time is right.
